Is any one familiar with Diabetes Self-Management Magazine? My wife started receiving a free one year subscription, and it appears to be a pretty decent magazine. Just wondering if anyone else has any past experience with it - e.g.: if you actually take a paid subscription do you get inundated with promotional; offers and sale ads/email ads? Or is it a generally reputable magazine interested in providing help with no strings?
Thanks,

Angela,
Yes - I saw on their website they have a free newsletter, and I also saw that you can read part of the current issue of their magazine, but not the whole issue - e.g. if you want to see and read it all you have to subscribe. I am not sure if I want to subscribe, but I know when I have subscribed to some other magazines, I get tons of garbage mail and email offers (I know who sells what because I use a different middle initial for every magazine or online newsletter I subscribe to).
So I was wondering if subscribing to the magazine, or enrolling on the weekly online newsletter resulted in anyone getting a lot of promotional garbage and or online spam. I have more than enough already, and once it gets started it is soooo hard to get disconnected!
Thanks,
