According to American Diabetes Association, there is a new hope now for non-invasive way for taking insulin. There is a new form of inhalable insulin which causes fewer side effects than Exubera (a former inhaled insulin drug which was removed from the market), it is called Afrezza.
Afrezza is awaiting to be approved by FDA. It is claimed that this drug works faster, and have fewer risks for causing hypoglycemia than the injectable insulin which is available in the market now. Afrezza is expected to cause less pulmonary problems than Exubera. By using a new technology known as Technosphere‚ Afrezza will be inhaled in the form of dry powder which will dissolve in your lungs‚ then the drug can pass easily to your circulation, therefore, Afrezza starts working rapidly, at a peak of twelve to fifty minutes after you inhale it.

Interesting. I know some were upset when Exubera was taken off the market because it gave them the best control.
Thanks for the info.
