I know that Victoza is not for folks on insulin. That is true also for Byetta.
But there are folks taking both Byetta and Victoza. Is anyone taking both Victoza and insulin?

When I asked about it I was told that it hadn't been given much to folks on insulin, and that there was more history of insulin-using folks and Byetta. So I asked if Byetta is now now approved for insulin users, or is it still 'off label'?. No, it is still off label. Once again I was told that as there wasn't a lot of history of Byetta plus insulin they didn't want me to be a guinea pig. My reply----I went on Byetta shortly after it reached the market, so was I being used as a guinea pig then? I never heard back. Maybe I am too contentious.
I will be interested in what your endo says.

Hello all I am now on Victoza the max strength no trouble at all switching over from Byetta did it in less than a week
I am also on
Levemir® FlexPen® at bed time
My only problem with the Levemir is I cannt seem to keep my numbers down to 120 as the doc has order I am up to 48 on the pen and one morning my fast blood sugars will be 115 and that is great and the next 155 I just dont understand my body seems to fight the insulin
But I really like the Victoza it seems that my body had gotten used to the Byetta after 5 years
